Liverpool lo-fi indie folk quartet CLEAN CUT KID are delighted to announce they will be supporting Irish singer-songwriter Orla Gartland on her forthcoming October 2021 UK tour dates.
In a change from their regular set up, the band will be appearing as a stripped back acoustic duo featuring the husband and wife team of band members Mike Halls (guitar/vocals) and Evelyn Halls (keys/vocals).
Commenting on the news, vocalist/keys player Evelyn Halls says: “We can’t wait for this tour. When we write most of these songs and put them together it’s just me, Mike, and a guitar, so getting up every night and doing it in that way will be so special. We’re really grateful to Orla for giving us that opportunity.”
Clean Cut Kid’s own recently announced Winter 2021 UK headline tour dates are also on sale now (see below for listings), featuring the full band set up, with support from New York resident and Team Love Records label mate Lorkin O’Reilly.
In July 2021 the quartet were one of the first musical acts back on the road post-pandemic, as they set out on a triumphant run of rescheduled socially-distanced UK headline tour dates in support of lockdown record Mother’s Milk, with many dates either sold out or upgraded, and were supported by Evelyn Halls’ solo project Pet Snake.
The band’s latest single Heavy As is out now, the first track to be taken from their recently announced fourth album, titled Hiss, set for release in Q1 2022 on new independent label homes Alcopop! Records (UK/EU) and Team Love Records (US).
Clean Cut Kid will be revealing further album details and new music over the coming months. They will support Orla Gartland at Leeds Stylus on 13th October 2021.
