You recently released a new track titled My Boyfriend Is A Snowman. What can you tell us about the track and where can it be purchased?

My Boyfriend is a Snowman was the first Winterbrook release, and was the song that really convinced me, as a songwriter, that I might be able to write Christmas songs. The idea came out of nowhere in January 2021 when I was reflecting on a fairly bleak Christmas and how important Christmas music had been in making Christmas 2020 work. This song is available on all major online music stores; Apple, Spotify etc.

Would you ever consider doing more Christmas/holiday songs in the future? How do you celebrate the holidays?

At the moment, Winterbrook is a music project that focusses purely on Christmas music. Five songs were released for Christmas 2021, and there will be several more in time for Christmas 2022.

In terms of how I personally celebrate the holidays; I´m British and I celebrate in a very stereotypical British way. Christmas songs, Christmas films, Christmas dinner, games and champagne (Cava).

Have you got any plans to release a full length album or an EP anytime soon?

In terms of an album/EP. For the time being, the focus is going to be on singles. In a couple of years, perhaps I will collect together selected songs for an album release.

Do you plan to release any singles at any point in the near future?

Plans are afoot for 2022. I´ve already started work on Christmas songs I plan to release in 2022. I´m aiming for 3-4 singles in late 2022.

Whereabouts are you based and what is the music scene like in your part of the world?

I´m from the UK. I´ve always been a lover of rock and indie, and watching it live. That has slowed down in the last couple of years. I particularly love the summer festivals that we have in the UK; they are always such a great chance to discover new music.

What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?

Influences are everything and anything, but if I was to pick one, I would say The Beatles. I think their influence on popular music has been more significant than any other musician or group of musicians. They did simple songs, and incredibly complicated songs, and were never afraid to innovate. I saw Paul McCartney a few years ago which was a great experience.

Do you have any tour dates lined up? What can people expect from one of your shows and why should people come and see you perform live?

Really, it was Christmas 2020 that dragged me out of an accidental pause in music, so I haven’t played live for a while. It´s something I would definitely like to do in the future; it would obviously need to be in Nov/Dec as Winterbrook is a project dedicated to Christmas music! There would be challenges; the current Winterbrook set of releases have involved a number of collaborations, but I´m very keen to make something work for Christmas 2022.

Any last words for the fans?
