I recently used Kimley Mayron’s track Levitating in a round-up review I completed and decided I wanted to find out a little more about the track. Read the interview below and don’t forget to check the song out if you like what you read!

You recently released a track titled Levitating, which we reviewed. What can you tell us about this song and where can it be purchased?
First of all, thank you for the interest you give to my project and my new single, that is truly appreciated. The song Levitating is about the feeling you get when you’re in love with somebody. The video has been shot in Porto, Portugal, which is also a very romantic and beautiful place. You can purchase the song on every streaming platforms as Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud etc..
The track also featured Colonel Reyel. How did that collaboration come about?
I’m the one that contacted Colonel Reyel to work with me on Levitating. He was one of the artists I was listening to when I was a teen and it was awesome to be able to work with him today. I hit him up on Instagram, sent him a few songs and asked him if he would be down to collaborate on a song with me; he said that my special voice made him said yes.
Has the pandemic hindered your work much?
No it hasn’t affected me really that much.
The pandemic hasn’t really affected me that much because I had the chance to be in Florida while the whole world was locked down. Florida was one of the states that didn’t had too much restrictions so, life was pretty the same. So I was still going to the studio to record and work with my team.
What is the writing and recording process like for you?
So basically, I receive tracks from beat makers and then I start working on the melody. The text is the last step of my writing process. Then to record, I sing the versus first, the chorus, and then the harmonies. I always know what I exactly want before going to the studio.
Do you plan to release any more singles in the near future?
Of course! I’m working right now on my next single and also a new feature track. I’ll let you know about it, that’s for sure.
Are there any plans to release an EP or album anytime soon?
Yes, we will probably bring out an EP by this year or the next one. I prefer to take my time and make the EP the fans are waiting for instead of rushing things.
What/who influences you most as an artist? What have you been listening to recently?
What influences me the most as an artist is definitely travel. This always keeps my spirit so open for new things and new experiences. I’ve been listening a lot of Khalid those days, he has a special emotion that I don’t find in any other artist.
Whereabouts are you based and what is the music scene like in your part of the world?
I’m based in Florida but right now, I’m in France Paris for the promotion of Levitating. I’ve been recently to Poland and Dubai so I’m experimenting with pop music all around the globe !
Do you have any tour dates lined up?
We are going to have a couple of shows with Colonel Reyel in France to sing Levitating but no tour for now.
What can people expect from one of your shows and why should people come and see you perform live?
I would say that going to see an artist on stage is completely different from listening to the song in your earphones. What I mean by that is that nothing can replace the live show!
So people would come to hear me singing live to meet the person I am and listen what I can do with my voice. I want people to get emotion from my performances.
Any last words for the fans?
We will meet soon again, and thank you for making this all possible.
