Nordic Artists

Most of the music I tend to hear on the radio comes from either British or American artists, but there are lots of fantastic bands/artists from all the other corners of the globe. I wanted to find out a little more about music from the Nordic countries – I’ve always been a fan of the symphonic metal that these places are known for, but there is a wealth of great music from other genres available too. Check out the playlist at the bottom if you like any of the artists listed here!

Electric High – Rough Diamond

Eagle eyed readers will notice that we’ve featured Electric High here a few times before, but their music is so good that I can’t stop reviewing it! They specialise in a form of bluesy rock that has classic rock vibes to it, and latest song Rough Diamond is full of groovy licks. It’s got a real sense of rock and roll cool to it, and it’s also incredibly catchy too! Make sure you check them out if you haven’t already!

The song is another slice of pop-rock heaven for all those into their guitar music – it also has a slight, 60s folk bent to it, adding another string to their multi-talented bow. Paul Bader – Fool

Paul Bader is a Nordic producer and DJ – Fool is an incredibly catchy song within the EDM vein. The track is full of energy, with a poppy synth melody melding well with the upbeat percussion and beats present within the music.
