Garvie is a London-based alternative pop artist whose quirky but well-observed new track and video What Did I Do caught my attention.

What Did I Do is about trying to navigate social interactions but coming up short. As the songs protagonist tries to impress a lover, his flaws are spelled out in a way we can all relate to. It all plays out against a funky rock-pop arrangement and tied together with a memorable and soulful chorus.
Before the pandemic, Garvie made a career as a songwriter, but when gigs stopped, he turned to his Gameboy for solace, and happened on his own sound.
