Ludlow Creek are a fantastic act with an Americana/folk/country vibe to their music, as displayed in latest song, What About Love. I decided to have a brief chat with the band – make sure you don’t miss the track at the end of this interview!

Have you started writing for a future EP/album yet?
Yes! We just finished mixing our second release titled Which Way Is Forward?, and we’re really excited to get this out.
Do you plan to release any more singles in the near future?
We have been thinking about another single release. We have already released What About Love as a single and the Stoney Lonesome Road video, but there is another tune we may release, and we are working out details for some performance videos in the future.
What/who influences you most as artists? What have you been listening to recently?
Actually we all have our personal favourites, but The Tedeschi Trucks Band and Blackberry Smoke come to mind as band faves.
Whereabouts are you based and what is the music scene like in your part of the world?
We’re based out of Dayton, Ohio, and there’s actually a great local music scene in this area. Although we wish there were more, there are a number of performance venues for indie artists here. And our local Public Radio Station has a weekly show promoting local indie bands.
Do you have any tour dates lined up?
Right now we have a handful of local dates, and we’re planning to get out and promote the new release, but we can’t release any details just yet.
What can people expect from one of your shows and why should people come and see you perform live?
We built this band on live performances, so fans can always expect a great energetic show. We’ll also be playing some of the material planned for our third album, and a couple of choice covers, so plenty of surprises.
Any last words for the fans?
We are so grateful for the opportunity to be doing what we are doing, and we’re excited about the future. We can’t wait to get out and play for everyone!
