Ladders is the electro pop project of Vrinda Padia, a Mumbai, India-born, Los Angeles, USA-based artist who has just caught my attention through his new track Dead Rose.

Dead Rose speaks of standing in defiance of a society that will judge you for being yourself. Its serious message is matched by an equally serious instrumental arrangement. It combines percussive beats with layers of electronica in a fresh and unique way. Vrinda’s vocals are moody, channelling an exhaustion with it all – social media, shallow impressions, the lot.
I’m really impressed with Vrinda’s fresh approach to pop. She’s definitely one to keep an eye on. You can listen to Dead Rose below.
