Sinikka Monte is a St.Pölten, Austria-based contemporary pop artist whose heart-breaking new track has put her on my radar. Telling the story of love that ends in betrayal, it’s called Dead End.

Dead End opens in a moody fashion. Sinikka cites York Calling favourite Madison Beer as an influence and you certainly get it from the off. Sinikka is bringing something fresh and unique to this particularly avenue of pop though, and her vocals are utterly mesmerising.

Though now based in Austria, Sinikka was born closer to home in Scotland, with Finnish and South African heritage. With song-writing plaudits and even a TV appearance in Germany under her belt already, she’s certainly one to watch in the underground pop scene.
