Natasha Hemmings Announced As Support For York Ronan Keating Gig

Cheshire-born singer-songwriter Natasha Hemmings has been announced as the support for Ronan Keating on his UK tour, beginning 15th June 2022. This is ahead of the release of her forthcoming second album I Am.

Sharing her anticipation for the tour, Natasha says: “I am so excited to go on tour with such an incredible artist. It is a magical experience getting to perform alongside a musician you have grown up listening to. I’m really looking forward to being back doing what I love and sharing my music with the world, especially after what has been a difficult time for everyone – it’s lovely to share some joy through music.”

This is Natasha’s third major nationwide tour, following support slots for The Overtones and Russell Watson & Aled Jones. Now hitting the road with pop icon Ronan Keating, Natasha will be performing new music live, alongside a handful of her most popular covers.

Fans will get the chance to hear singles from I Am, her second album, performed live for the first time. For I Am, Natasha has delved deep, delivering an unapologetically honest, yet poetic insight into the highs and lows of her life and career so far. While her debut Whispers leant on more classical influences, Natasha fully immersed herself in the writing and recording of this album – composing and arranging all but one of the tracks to reflect her artistic growth within the realm of pop. The result is a lush and contemporary soundscape, anchored by her trademark, classic vocal style. A vividly personal record, I Am sees Natasha unafraid to confront some uncomfortable episodes in her life, including the mixed blessings of her time in the world of beauty pageants, as the former Miss England.

“I wanted to tell my story with this new album and each of the songs has been inspired by moments throughout my life,” Natasha says. “In today’s world everyone is creating a ‘perfect’ version of themselves out on social media and the true person is ‘invisible’. It feels like no one can truly be happy when pretending to be someone else, scared they won’t be liked and accepted for who they are.”

A tour-exclusive, souvenir copy of I Am, will be available to purchase at the concerts, ahead of its general release later this year.

The York Barbican date will be held on July 4th 2022.
