Better Luck Next Time is the name of Maya’s latest release, starting with some gorgeous solo vocal harmonies that set the tone well for the entire song. A dark beat appears, acting as a throbbing backbone for the music, not unlike a heartbeat. The vocal effects are used very effectively, working well with the eerie sound created by the funky bass and beat. It’s a quirky and eccentric song, and it’s wonderful to hear a pop singer doing something a little different!
