You recently released a song titled Summertime, which we reviewed. What can you tell us about the track?

First of all, thanks for your positive vibes on Summertime. The track was recorded last summer and was made in many versions. I think I chose the driest sounding of the versions. Like the other BREGN songs, it was written and recorded at home.

Do you plan to release any more singles anytime soon?

I have been working on new material during the summer. My plan is to release 2 additional songs in 2022.

Have you started writing for another EP or an album or is it too soon?

I have an album in mind when writing music and I am working towards releasing an album.

Your music has a dreamy folky sound. What/who influences you most as artists? What have you been listening to recently?

I love many kinds of music. I guess I have no boundaries regarding the genres I listen to. Therefore, my inspirations may be subconsciously quite fragmented. I recently listened to classical music like Chopin and Grieg and I have also been listening to Beck, Cat Stevens and the Melvins.

You’re based in Denmark. What is the music scene like there at the moment?

There are a lot going on in the Danish music scene with a lot of festivals that have national and international artists performing.

Did the pandemic hinder you much?

As I have been writing music in my own home, I would not say the pandemic hindered me creatively, but I missed the social part of life during the shutdowns.

What is the writing and recording process like?

I love writing and recording. I try to catch ideas as they arrive and build everything around that. I like to have a moment everyday where I continue on a piece or create something completely new. Most of my song are written fast. Just sitting in a comfy chair with a guitar recording with my laptop.

Do you have any tour dates lined up?

I do not have any plans to tour at the moment. I am currently testing my computer to broadcast live on YouTube. My computer seems to struggle with this task, but I will I will get there.

Any last words for the fans?

I can’t wait to talk with you on socials and direct messaging.
