Doll Riot are an up and coming new punk band with a cool sound, as displayed on their self-titled EP, Doll Riot. Anyone who knows me will know I love punk music, so these guys come well recommended from me!

You recently released a self-titled EP. What can you tell us about the EP?
We have 3 songs on the EP, they are all pretty different. Our style is kind of a mix between punk, surf, alternative and hard rock. We just combine it all together to find our own sound.
Where can Doll Riot be purchased and how has the reception been so far?
You can listen to it pretty much anywhere, Spotify, You Tube Music, Apple Music and Pandora. We have gotten a lot of positive reviews and it’s been really fun to read them.
Do you plan to release any singles anytime soon?
Yes, we have a single, Get A Life, that just came out on September 2nd and another one coming out most likely in October.
Do you have any plans to release an album or EP in the near future or is it too soon?
We are always writing new songs, so we hope to get an album out in the near future. We are all in school, so we have to work around our busy schedules too.
Has the pandemic hindered your work much?
We really became a band right before the pandemic hit so we weren’t really able to play live when we first got together, but it gave us time to write music and get to really know each other as a band.
Where are you based? What is the local music scene like where you are?
We are in North County, San Diego, so Oceanside, Carlsbad and Encinitas. It’s a small but loyal music scene and we have played lots of different venues.
Your music is firmly contained within the punk genre. What/who influences you most as artists? What have you been listening to recently?
We all listen to punk music and metal, but all have our own favourites.
What is the writing and recording process like for you?
The writing process is nice because we all work together really well and all have an input as to what is written. The recording process is cool and we enjoy making our music sound good!
Do you have any plans to tour in the UK?
We don’t currently but we would really love to in the future. We are hoping to get more popular and will have the UK on our list for sure. Our bass player’s name is London so we feel like we should definitely go to the UK for her.
