Scarlet Joy are a Lincolnshire-based rock trio consisting of Sophia Woodcraft on vocals and guitar, Drew Moore on drums and Tom Latham on bass. They’ve just come to our attention up here on the other side of the Humber estuary thanks to their new track and video Rescue.

Rescue hits you straight away with driving guitar and lively percussion. When the first verse comes in, so do Sophia’s haunting vocals. Scarlet Joy deliver grunge rock akin to legends like Nirvana, Hole and PJ Harvey and fans of any of those acts will find a lot to love in Rescue.
The video sees the trio perform in a dilapidated room, interspersed with wonderfully atmospheric, shadowy images. You can give it a watch below.
