Scarlet Joy are the Lincolnshire-based rock trio of Sophia Woodcraft, Tom Latham and Drew Moore. They’ve featured once before on the blog courtesy of their second single Rescue. Cut Diamond is the follow up and speaks of escapism and excess.

Cut Diamond kicks of with a classic rock arrangement with a groovy rhythm section and fuzzy guitar riffs. Sophia’s vocals are beautifully emotive, haunting and Gothic in her delivery. It all leads to a soaring and memorable chorus.
Both Rescue and Cut Diamond will feature on the band’s forthcoming debut album Mourning Pages. You can check out Cut Diamond, along with its Skegness-based “walk of shame” visualiser below.
