Melanie Maclaren is an American singer songwriter who Jane first discovered for us early this year through her track Deep Dark Sleep. Later, I ran the rule over the beautifully wistful Summer in Sweden, and now she’s back with a new one. It’s called Clearance Aisle.

The track is a collaboration with fellow singer songwriter Lorkin O’Reilly and the two work really well with each other. An intimately acoustic piece, there’s folk tradition running through its veins while lyrically it’s very much grounded in the modern world.
