Album Review: Lorraine Klaasen & Mongezi Ntaka – Ukubonga (Gratitude)

Lorraine Klaasen and Mongezi Ntaka are a pair of South African musicians who have teamed up to release their takes on some of Southern Africa’s Township music songbook. Entitled Ukubonga, or “gratitude”, it’s the pairs way of giving thanks to some of Southern Africa’s most celebrated singers and composers.

Discovery: Possessor

Possessor are a Los Angeles, USA-based duo consisting of singer songwriter Blaze Power and electronic artist John Bonilla. John conceived the band while dealing with the trauma brought about by COVID, and an encounter with Blaze while she was performing live began their collaboration. Their new track, taken from their debut EP Fatal Fixations, is called Ice Paradise.
