Possessor are a Los Angeles, USA-based duo consisting of singer songwriter Blaze Power and electronic artist John Bonilla. John conceived the band while dealing with the trauma brought about by COVID, and an encounter with Blaze while she was performing live began their collaboration. Their new track, taken from their debut EP Fatal Fixations, is called Ice Paradise.

There’s a vibrant yet old school feel about Ice Paradise. Blaze coined the phrase “new Goth” to describe their sound and it feels about right. There’s an undercurrent that brings to mind The Cure or All About Eve but the electronic overtones definitely make the track feel more modern. It’s delightfully unique.
