New Music: T.I.G.Y. – World Full of Want

Since I discovered Dorking-based alternative dream pop duo T.I.G.Y. over the summer thanks to their EP Sunny Dog Days, they’ve become something of a favourite of mine. Following the EP were two unique covers – Miike Snow’s Animal and LCD Soundsystem’s Someone Great. Now they’re back with a new one, the sixth release from their debut album. It’s called World Full of Want.

World Full Of Want wastes no time in hitting you with its rich, dreamy atmosphere. Rousing percussion meets ethereal electronic layers. Singer and lyricist Bailey Tzuke comes in, her vocals particularly full of longing and regret in this one. I found myself hanging onto every word.

If you’re enjoying T.I.G.Y.’s music as much as I am, and you’re based in York, you’re in luck. They’re coming to the National Centre for Early Music tomorrow in support of Nerina Pallot. Don’t miss them!
