Lincolnshire-based rock trio Scarlet Joy are becoming regulars on our blog. This is the third track we’ve shared of theirs, following on from September’s Rescue and last month’s Cut Diamond. Queen and Thief is their latest. Coming complete with a video it tells a story of love, deceit and betrayal.

Queen and Thief is the kind of track that will grab you by the heart. A stripped-back intro draws you in while frontwoman Sophia Woodcraft’s vocals hold you. The video makes the sentiment literal, with Sophia handling a human heart prop. It’s not for the faint-hearted!

It’s great to hear another side of the Scarlet Joy sound. Each track they release reveals a little more of their world. Queen and Thief will feature alongside Cut Diamond and Rescue on the band’s debut album Mourning Pages, set for release this month. You can watch the video for Queen and Thief below.
