Late Hala is a unique artist who combines cinematic elements with an indie folk sound, culminating in the beautiful song Never Had A Good Dream.

Never Had A Good Dream starts out slowly, as the vocals drift over the music. Little guitar flourishes run alongside the piano, before the bass and drums kick in, elevating the tempo somewhat. The main chord sequence used is hauntingly beautiful at times – I also really enjoyed the way the female backing vocals appear on the chorus, matching the lead vocals.
