Zeta Zeroes is a one man project based out of Washington D.C., creating an oddball hardcore punk sound that also has a hint of metal. 11:01 is a new release from the project, featuring 4 amazing songs that should be perfect for any fan of the hardcore punk genre.

The New Influence opens things up with a sequence of crashing drums and intense guitar riffs, with several guitar lines running across each other – it certainly sounds huge, considering it’s a one man band! The vocals appear soon after, having the traditional shouted hardcore sound that fans of the genre have come to know and love so well. The intensity on this fast song never lets up!
Toxic Rob is a little different, opening with a jazzy percussive beat, which sounds incredibly technical at times, showing off Zeta Zeroes’ skills in style. The guitars arrive after a while, with multiple vocal lines running over the music – there’s also some singing, as well as the shouting. The production sounds rawer here, but it suits the genre well.
Black Friday sounds more like a traditional pop-punk song when it starts, due to the main guitar melody used. The singing returns on this song, sounding almost spoken at times. Don’t let the opening riff fool you though, as the hardcore elements are still present on this fast banger of a song, combining a multitude of different punk sub-genres together.
Thank You, Westerfield Bros & Co has a classic punk rock sound, harking back to the American scene of the 70s and 80s. It’s quite melodic at times, having more in common with the previous track than the first two, making you want to sing along at times! It’s a good breath of fresh air and shows a band capable of making music within several genres.
11:01 is a really interesting EP and one that should appeal to fans of most of the punk sub-genres out there. It’s incredibly impressive that one man has managed to create such a fantastic sound, which is to Zeta Zeroes credit!
