New Era is a new release from Black Lilys, ahead of their sophomore album release in October with the same name.

New Era has quite a folky quality, yet it also contains elements of indie and pop music, making for a lovely overall mix. The tension is built up through the use of some interesting percussion and keyboard effects, as the lead vocals harmonise beautifully with the backing vocals. The chorus raises the energy a little, turning this from an ethereal dream-pop song into more of a straight up alt-pop song, as the tribal percussion rises up in the background of the piece.
