Icelandic contemporary R&B singer Silja Rós has just hit my radar thanks to her new track and video, a meditation on letting go of toxic love. It’s called Lie Just To Lie.

In both the track and video Silja demonstrates just how addictive love can be with a sexy and sultry delivery. A timeless, classic instrumental arrangement channels James Bond-esque elegance while contemporary pop elements shine through. As does Silja’s vocals, strong, breathy and utterly seductive.
Silja has been writing music since her teenage years and released her first album in 2017 to critical acclaim in her homeland. It certainly feels time for the rest of the world to fall in love with her too. You can check out the video for Lie Just To Lie below.
