Meghan Pulles is an emo-positive singer-songwriter based out of New York, who’s music has touched fans across the globe since she first hit the world stage. Her EP, Sighs Of Her, shows exactly why she’s become so popular, making it a must listen for any music fan!

The first track is titled Anxiety, starting out slowly with a pretty, strummed acoustic guitar melody. Meghan’s vocals appear soon after, having a lovely tone and range overall. The lyrics are quite melancholic, but they only serve to make the track sound even more beautiful. The song stays fairly similar throughout, with it’s stripped-down goodness really speaking to the heart.
Monster follows in a similar vein – although the tempo is a little faster, adding an almost folk-punk quality to this tune. You can really feel the emotion in Meghan’s voice here, with the faster speed allowing the anger to really come through in her lyrics. The raw quality of the sound only enhances this further, showing a singer-songwriter with a great deal of talent.
Mountain takes things in a more positive direction, going back to Meghan’s Americana/folk roots. The guitar melodies are really beautiful here, as are Meghan’s vocals. The track sees her voice reaching some lofty heights at times, showing a slightly different side to her music. This was my favourite song on the entire EP, as it’s absolutely haunting to listen to!
The Light – Remix is as the title suggests, a remix of the original tune. It’s quite different to the other songs here, as it’s the only track to take on a band sound, with fuzzy electric guitars and a mid-tempo percussive beat added to the tune. The production is a little raw, but that just makes it seem even more genuine. The main chord sequence on the chorus is extremely well written, drawing you in straight away.
Meghan Pulles has demonstrated on Sighs Of Her that she’s a singer-songwriter capable of crafting music for a few different styles, which is a real credit to her talents! Keep an ear out for her in the future!
