Canadian experimental pop duo XL Syndicate have a fantastic sound, mixing mainstream pop with more divergent elements.

Long Way starts out sounding like any other commercial pop success, but there’s a sense of genuine feeling present in the tune that really helps to elevate the duo’s music above their peers. The busy hip-hop style percussion provides a nice alternative to the slow piano chords in the background, which have an ethereal and expansive quality. The vocals are heartfelt and emotive, drifting effortlessly through this amazing track.
