Switchback is an indie pop song with a difference, sounding unlike anything I’ve ever heard before – a testament to the quality of American musician Blase.

Switchback mixes together elements of modern and traditional indie with a dreamy sound – the vocals are rather distant in the mix, fitting quite well with the shoegaze genre too. The guitars have a jangly sound that really lights the rest of the music up – the main melody is used on several instruments throughout the tune, seeing the vocals also follow the main note sequence. It’s a lovely, warm sounding tune, so make sure you check it out!
