By Your Side starts out slowly, with a selection of pretty piano and guitar melodies echoing through the song underneath Rose’s vocals. The chorus changes the chord sequence slightly, sounding really beautiful, particularly as Blair’s vocals are used in the background to create a harmonious sound within the music.
