I first discovered American singer-songwriter and musician Sophie Louise back in September of last year – now she’s back with a new single!

Sleeping With The Light On is a modern folk song, starting out with a gorgeous acoustic guitar melody. The song is rather subtle and understated at times, with odd little piano notes appearing in the background at times. The attention is put squarely on Sophie’s vocals, which work really well with the style of music performed here. Some percussion is added later on but it’s rather quiet, making the guitars and vocals stand in pride of place on this track. If that sounds good, check it out below!
