I Gave Up My Life is beautiful from the off, opening with a slow electric guitar melody that suits the style of music well. The organ is a lovely touch in the background – it’s not too overt, yet it sounds fantastic. Will’s vocals are full of emotion, having a raw essence that really draws you in the more you listen to the track. The lyrics are also fascinating to behold, complete with melancholy goodness. It’s one of my favourite songs of the year so far!
