5ON5 are an up-and-coming indie-pop band with a fantastic sound, as displayed in a track we reviewed recently, titled May I Ask. They’ve also released another banger of a track in the form of Balloon, which is also well worth checking out! Find out more about 5ON5 below!

How was your 2022?
Up and down.
And exciting as we entered the public stage with 5ON5 and released several songs.
You recently released a single titled May I Ask, which we reviewed. What can you tell us about the single?
It’s a song about a love that you depended on but realised late, and the fear that you overcome.
It is performed by three of us. Max starts, then $inan enters with a rap part and at last Yumin chants the final chorus – the backing harmonies of the first as the new lead vocal part.
How has the reception been for the single, and where can it be purchased?
Good. Even partly enthusiastic. but not as good as some of our other songs. The college radio liked it though.
You also released a track recently called Balloon. What can you tell us about that song?
It’s quite a proper song to start the new year with. All 4 of us sing and that way we tried to create a feeling of a mutual new beginning, without knowing where we got to and why, as the lyrics say. Kinda romantic, and a bit spacey – also very poppy. And our member maxx created a colourful music video using AI.
Do you plan to release any more singles in the near future?
Yes. 2-3 this year. but we don’t plan very far into the future.
Are there any plans to release an EP or album?
Yes indeed. We are planning to release an EP in the first half of 2023, and maybe another one or an album within the year after.
Your music has an dreamy pop-rock sound. What/who influences you most as artists? What have you been listening to recently?
Everything. And not just music. Life, love and labour. What do you hear?
All four of us have different tastes, experience and expertise, which makes it exciting to bring that to one point.
Where are you based? What is the local music scene like?
Berlin. The scene is quite active and the city is famous for its electronic music scene, hip-hop and avantgarde stuff.
We try to add a bit of melody on top and take it into the world.
Do you have any UK tour dates lined up?
Not yet.
Any last words for the fans?
Do we have fans? Hi!
