Mary Francis is a song written about Kara’s grandma after she passed away – you can really feel the emotion in her vocals. In terms of the music, it’s a bluesy folk-rock song with a slow, waltzy beat. A piano organ provides most of the instrumentation alongside the rhythm section and guitar licks – the organ sounds positively fantastic in the background. Kara’s vocals are full of soul as they drift through this amazing track.
