Black Tattoo is a song written about the musician’s late father, and you can really feel the emotion in the lyrics as he sings along to the slow beat. The track is full of soul, with the steady tempo providing a nice backbeat against the strummed guitar melodies. Occasional electric guitar motifs break off every so often, adding a bluesy quality to the music. The chorus has a slightly more positive feel, changing things up nicely for the listener.
