I’m always on the look out for new rock music, so when I heard LA band Centershift, I was really excited! The track I reviewed is titled Falling Into, although I’ve since checked out some of their other songs and loved them. If you want to find out more, you should read the short interview below.

You released a single titled Falling Into. What can you tell us about the track?
Falling Into is a self reflection, an inventory if you will.

How has the reception to Falling Into been so far, and where can the song be purchased?
We are super stoked about the response live and streams, although we could do better on the YouTube side for the video, that’s out now – hint hint lol. Falling Into is on our debut record, A Different Shade Of Color, on Auspicious Recordings/ Wolf Ent.

Do you plan to release any more singles in the near future?
There is more to come, for sure! We are in the thick of it right now with planning and writing.
Do you plan to release an EP or an album anytime soon?
Album 2 is on the way and we’re currently writing and demoing out new tracks. We’re excited to hopefully do something with releases later this year.
Your music has an alt-rock sound. What/who influences you most as artists? What have you been listening to recently?
Our own listening pleasures are very different, but also alike on certain plains.
I can’t say any one of us would have a direct influence.
What do you think is the biggest challenge in the music business at the moment?
Algorithms.
You’re based in LA. How is the local music scene faring at the moment?
We see the LA Scene trying to make a comeback, with some amazing bands and promoters like The Cobalt Presents working with great venues, it will happen, the 90’s will return again!
Do you have any tour dates lined up for the UK?
We are in talks and hope to very soon!
What can people expect from a Centershift gig and why do you think people should come and see you live?
Heart and soul in every song, I really think our stuff always has a live feeling. And Ted flips his bass!
