Discovery: Dead Reynolds

Dead Reynolds are a Cambridgeshire-based indie rock band who have just hit my radar thanks to their latest single Wake Up.

By Graeme Smith

The band formed in 2018 and since then have garnered the attention of Kerrang! Radio, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing. Yet, it’s taken up until now for me to get on the bandwagon, thanks to Wake Up. A vibrant piece of electro-infused rock, it somehow manages to be both heart-rendering and uplifting. The band write a lot about mental health, addiction and loss and those emotive topics feel close to home in Wake Up.

Collectively the members of Dead Reynolds are influenced by the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, Blink 182 and Funeral For A Friend. Fans of those bands will find a lot to love about Wake Up. You can give it a listen below and there’s an opportunity to catch the band live in Leeds at Bom on 14 April.
