High Again is the first single to be released by transatlantic dream pop duo Coucou Babe, which makes it all the more impressive!

High Again has a very distinct retro feel, reminding me a lot of the pop that came out in the 50s and 60s. Coucou Babe manage to mix vintage elements with a modern dream pop/shoegaze sound, making for something utterly unique in the present day. The waltzy rhythm is infectious, as spidery little guitar melodies trail off in a lovely fashion. The vocals have that distant sound we’ve come to expect from the genre, echoing away in lovely fashion against the music. If that sounds good, you can listen here:
