We’ve featured Swedish band Drops of Indigo a few times in recent months – now they’re back with a new song titled Shrouds of illusions.

As you might expect from the band’s previous work, Shrouds of illusions is a stripped-down folk song in the more traditional fashion. The vocal harmonies on the chorus are the particular stand-out here for me, making it all sound extremely beautiful as a whole! A fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody underpins the tune, with occasional electric motifs breaking off every now and again to add a little more variety. If you’ve not checked out Drops of Indigo yet, this is the perfect introduction to their music!
