I’m pleased to be able to share a new track from singer-songwriter Tommy Ashby, one of my favourite British artists at the moment.
By Jane Howkins
My Old Man is more of what you might expect from Tommy if you’ve heard his music before, but it’s still a fantastic piece of work. It’s an anthemic folk song, starting out slow before the epic chorus explodes. Tommy has a wonderful voice that really takes pride of place here, singing gloriously over the guitar and banjo melodies. It’s a joyful track, full of exuberance, and one that should lighten up any room. So why not take a listen to My Old Man below?
