Paper and Plastic is the second single from American cellist, songwriter and producer Laura Wolf’s forthcoming album Shelf Life, due out in June.

Paper and Plastic is a really interesting piece of work, as it uses a lot of electronic elements to create something that sounds utterly unique at the moment. The synths also add a rhythmic quality to the piece, working as the percussion, as well as in a melodic manner. The cello is used sparingly, but it sounds awesome when it’s added in. Laura’s vocals are soft and breathy, having an almost whispered quality to them – they sound really great though, working well with the rest of the music. If you like your music a little different to the norm, this is for you!
