Bel Epoq are a synth wave duo based in Lübeck, Germany. They’ve just hit my radar thanks to their summer-welcoming new pop track Mind & Matter.

Mind & Matter opens instantly bright and vibrant. Layers of synths give it a classic vibe, but there’s also something thoroughly modern about the track. The vocals are charming, delivering descriptive lyrics of lost, youthful summer evenings. It’s definitely one to banish the last remaining grip that winter has on our hemisphere.
The track is Bel Epoq’s third single and feels like the perfect introduction to them for us. I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for more music from them.
