I’m not normally a big fan of modern pop music, but I couldn’t help but love Canadian starlet bludnymph’s music when I heard her latest release, Watch Me.
By Jane Howkins
Watch Me has a lot of the hallmarks of modern pop music, but it also has a slightly darker vibe, aligning it well with the alt-pop movement. The synths creep through the music in a fantastic way, aligning well with the beat and bass. The beat occasionally quickens, adding a sense of tension to the piece. The vocals are also used wonderfully, changing vastly across the tune to add more variety. It’s quite short in terms of length, but this aspect just leaves you longing for more!
