Izzy Pringey is a New York, USA-based pop artist who has just hit my radar thanks to her new track that explores the idea of getting into a relationship and having it explode in her face. It’s called sick of it.
By Graeme Smith
Sick of it opens with an up-tempo acoustic guitar riff, and you immediately get the pop sensibilities that make the likes of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo so popular. Izzy makes the sound her own, though, through her visceral song writing and expressive vocals. Still young, I can see her rubbing shoulders with the greats in the future based on the evidence of sick of it.
Izzy writes and produces music with the help of her dad (and her dog) in their New York studio. She’s been writing music since the age of thirteen, and clearly has the chops to go far in the world of pop.
