Regular readers of this blog will no doubt know Luna Keller. The Cologne, Germany-based singer songwriter has been featuring on these pages with some frequency since we first discovered her in 2021. My last share of her music came in March thanks to her ponderous track The Philosopher. Her latest gives us light and air and it’s called Woman in the Van.

Woman in the Van is a biographical piece inspired by a friend of Luna who travels Europe in her van with her cat. Luna brings the feel of the open road to life through her delicately plucked guitar arrangement, her soulful vocals and her storytelling lyrics. After a stripped-back first verse, the track develops into a cantering country folk wonder.
The track was created with Dhawani Zapp, Rishi S. Vlote and Luna’s father Roger Keller. Mixing and mastering is by California-based Dominic Romano. Woman in the Van cements for me Luna’s ability to pen a beautiful song about just about anything. You can give it a listen below.
