I’m a big fan of the modern folk genre, so I couldn’t help but share British singer-songwriter Sophie May’s latest release!

The Babysitter is a stripped down folk tune that sounds quite minimalist – it’s beautiful though, so it doesn’t really need any more instrumentation! A pretty acoustic guitar melody carries the tune, with occasional electric motifs heard in the background at times. Sophie has a wonderfully heartfelt voice, carrying the emotion of the song perfectly here. It’s actually quite haunting to behold at times – try it for yourselves below!
