Celestial North is a Kendal-based dream pop artist who has featured a couple of times before on this blog. Last summer, she hit my radar thanks to her folklore-infused single When The Gods Dance which I then followed up with a share of her track Yarrow in the autumn. Now she’s back with a ethereal new one. It’s called Otherworld.

The track opens low and brooding before twinkling textures and plucked strings come in. Things slowly build with electronic layers and rousing percussion before dramatic and compelling vocals come in. Otherworld is the kind of track that transports you to another realm while staying reassuringly human. It’s lovely stuff.
