The last time we featured Kevin Whitaker in these pages was back in January of this year, so it’s fantastic to hear more new music from him!

Rise is another hard rock song, although it starts out quiet melodically, with a pretty, clean electric guitar motif that is repeated through the majority of the tune. Kevin’s vocals soon appear afterwards – they’re raw yet strong, truly having the best of both worlds. As the chorus kicks in, the heavy riffs and rhythm section appear, seeing Kevin belting the lyrics out in a passionate way. It’s a great sounding song, and the perfect introduction to Kevin’s music if you haven’t checked it out yet!
