Dutch composer and pianist Johan van der Voet is a new discovery of mine, but I already can’t wait to hear more of his music!

Late Afternoon is a perfectly titled track, as this piece of music perfectly captures the feeling of that time of day. It’s a piano-only track, with the sole instrument making it sound very evocative, getting stuck inside your head straight away. Late Afternoon is quite minimalist sounding at times, yet it really works in its favour, making the entire thing sound utterly beautiful throughout. I absolutely adored this piece of neoclassical music and I hope our readers will do too!
