This year’s Ryedale Festival includes fun for all the family. Between the 23rd and 25th of July in Malton, Scarborough, and York, narrator Polly Ives and harpist Louise Thomson deliver Concerteenies, a vibrant reimagining of Arree Chung’s delightful tale Mixed. Aimed at ages 3-7, the performance includes audience participation, projected images, original music from Paul Rissmann and a relaxed environment suited for fostering the love of music in children and adults alike.
Following Concerteenies each day, the duo delivers a magical musical experience for pre-crawling babies and their grown-ups. Ives and Thomson will deliver a concert of classical, folk, world, popular music and nursery rhymes, while attendees can relax, listen, sleep, enjoy sensory elements, and learn simple baby massage techniques. Free for babies, this is an experience that is a delight for the whole family.
