Dark Blues is a song that truly blends genres together – whilst it certainly has elements of the blues, it’s also got moments of rock and jazz. The guitars sound really groovy here, drifting along through the music against the cool rhythm section. The bass pulsates in a lovely way, as occasional saxophone solos appear out of nowhere, adding a great deal of character to the piece. Whilst it is an instrumental track, the guitars and saxophone act almost like a vocal line, so even those not normally into instrumental music should get a kick out of this!
