Grimm are a Vancouver, Canada-based experimental pop band who have just come to my attention thanks to the first single release from their upcoming second album Your Head is a House. It’s called Walking Around in an Ice Castle That is Melting.

Walking Around… is a wonderfully delicate and captivating track. It opens with a looping electronic refrain before percussion steadily grows into the piece and we get some ghostly vocalisations. The arrangement builds to a dance groove before we reach a gripping, emotional crescendo.
Grimm have been around since 2020, and was formed by former Elf Pity band member Sam Herle. It’s now a five-piece which includes Naia Mann, Cody Schroeter, Chris Bede and Len Plisic. Their album Your Head is a House is set for release 19 August and you can check out Walking Around… below.
