New Jersey-based band Elk City is quite an eclectic group, combining elements of dream-pop, psychedelia and folk music together into one awesome package.

Strong (You’re Not Alone) is an interesting tune, suitable for those who like their music on the more experimental side of things. It opens with a tribal drum beat, alongside some trippy guitar lines. The song slowly builds up, adding different layers as the music progresses. The vocals have an ethereal quality, drifting through the music perfectly. The chorus elevates things even further, swelling with a whole host of sounds. Elk City’s music won’t be for everyone, but those that give it a go should find something to love.
